Overview
Throughout the past 30 years, Bread of Life, Inc has been committed to creating innovative ways to empower and enrich the community. This new endeavor, the Bread of Life Academy, is a branch of the Bread of Life organization designed to give an educational opportunity to underserved Houstonians looking to gain skills that will make them more employable in the workforce.
Mission
The mission of Bread of Life Academy is to provide quality educational and advancement pathways that provides justice and equity in employment for youth and young adults emerging from foster care, transition-age youth, and historically underserved Houstonians.
Vision
Our vision is for Bread of Life Academy to be the anchor for young adults emerging from foster care or other juvenile systems. We envision a community that uplifts instead of stigmatizes. We envision a network of collective organizations coming together for a unified cause giving strength and action to our mission.

Health Worker
Quest Phlebotomy Course:
Phlebotomy students are trained to be certified phlebotomists who will provide services to community members that access services through the Bread of Life programs and be employed for temporary or full-time positions at 75 Quest Labs in Houston.
Cisco Networking
Training Course:
In partnership with the University of St. Thomas and CISCO Networking Academy, the Bread of Life Academy CISCO Networking course prepares learners for entry-level IT occupations in the Cyber Security world. Students will obtain vital skills like threat intelligence, network security, and risk management to protect organizations from cyber-attacks.
Community Health Worker Training Course:
Community Health Workers (CHWs) receive training to become Texas-certified CHWs who assist individuals in their communities with navigating healthcare and other systems to receive services needed for a fulfilled life.
